Overview

The Merchandise Processor is an entry-level position that is responsible for the manual support of handling merchandise. As a Merchandise Processor you may perform one or more of the following functions including: pack/ship, pick, receiving, returns, special services, backstock, or quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Examining merchandise and disposition to the highest level of quality merchandise warrants
  • Moving product in and out of backstock
  • Inspecting product for quality before delivery to our customers
  • Manually entering and scanning UPC codes off of the labels to generate price tickets
  • Packing and sealing scanned cartons and placing on the backstock conveyor belt
  • Accurately completing all paperwork as needed
  • Packing merchandise for shipment to our customers
  • Completing all other assigned duties related to the essential functions of the job in your assigned area

Qualifications

  • Must be detail oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs while displaying safe working behaviors
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, stretch, and walk for 8-10 hours per work day
  • Ability to twist, push, pull and lift above shoulder level
  • Ability to read small print and have good comprehension
  • Must have basic computer skills and the ability to learn how to operate mechanical equipment
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remain flexible to change, and willing to move around to other areas
  • Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
  • Excellent attendance is required and you must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed
  • High School Degree or equivalent is preferred
