  • Overview

    The Allocation Analyst supports in the execution of assortment and planning strategies through effective allocation of inventory to our stores.

    Responsibilities

    • Executing initial and replenishment allocations by store to optimize sales, margin and inventory turn
    • Actively monitoring and responding to business at the store level; analyzing current business, historical results and market trends to proactively identify risks, opportunities and creative solutions to maximize business results
    • Performing analysis and providing recommendations into size optimization 
    • Planning for and ensuring new or remodeled stores are opened and maintained with sufficient inventory levels
    • Preparing for and actively participating in weekly through quarterly business reviews
    • Managing the execution of clearance through consolidations and transfers
    • Monitoring distribution center inventory levels across channels and transferring inventory where appropriate
    • Participating in the development of allocation system technology advancements and processes and effectiveness
    • Monitoring the impact of backorders on inventory availability
    • Building effective cross-functional relationships and skillfully navigating / influencing business decisions

    Qualifications

    • 0-2 years of experience in allocation or inventory management
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Experience with JDA Allocation a plus
    • Must be available to work some weekends
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
    • Ability to effectively influence and negotiate
    • Excellent written and verbal communication 
    • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
    • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
