  • Overview

    Execute brand appropriate retail visual merchandising strategies that drive sales to meet brand and corporate objectives.


    Core Accountabilities:


    • Supports Regional VP and District Director partners with overarching Visual Merchandising (VM) strategy and floorset decision making.
    • Communicate Brand related information on weekly regional conference calls.
    • Partner with Director of VM and General Manager of VM to develop solutions for optimizing assortment to maximize presentation and drive sales results.
    • Solicit DD feedback regarding store presentation in stores and action accordingly.
    • Share ideas and feedback regularly with all members of visual team via conference calls, brainstorm sessions, and/or store work-throughs.
    • Track, monitor, and translate marketplace trends into cutting edge presentations that are brand appropriate.
    • Reinforce best practices and identify opportunities to increase productivity and eliminate redundancy.


    • Works directly with DD to resolve store specific merchandising challenges that require adaptations including store size, store type, volume, spatial constraints, and inventory levels.
    • Partner with Corporate Visual Merchandisers to ensure consistency of visual merchandising tactics and ensure region compliance.
    • Ensure compliance of travel budgets.
    • Support fixture/product rollout processes.
    • Travel weekly and assess field opportunities in stores to measure the effectiveness of visual merchandising presentations.
    • Support new store openings.
    • Ensure brand and visual merchandising consistency is upheld in the field.

    People Development:

    • Conduct training sessions in field to ensure current and future merchandising direction is communicated and presentation skill sets are developed in DD/ Store Manager (SM) population in a structured format.
    • Partner closely with the Regional VPs (RVP) and DDs on merchandising initiatives and expectations.
    • Develop and execute visual merchandising training for field personnel that complies with Brand Mission and Company Objectives.
    • Communicate to the RVP/DD global brand message, seasonal overviews, and highlights of each new collection.
    • Coach and develop DD/SM to develop merchandising skills that enhance their sales results.
    • Set, demonstrate and communicate high professional standards and hold team members accountable to them.
    • Build constructive, effective relationships throughout the company to align support for all visual merchandising and brand initiatives.

    Education/Experience Required:

    • 5-7 years of Retail Visual Merchandising Manager experience
    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; 4-year college degree preferred.
    • Proficient in Photoshop, Indesign, PowerPoint & Excel
    • Self-starter with excellent communication and sound written skills
    • Proven ability to understand and interpret visual presentation direction
    • High level of skill motivating and influencing others
    • Strong training and facilitation skills.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; kneel; bend; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
    • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to ascend and descend ladders and stools within a retail environment.
    • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
    • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
    • Required to travel in elevators and/or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates in a mall setting.
    • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time, remote work position that will be based out of Seattle metro area, but considerations may be made to be remotely based out of the Chicago or Denver areas. Position requires travel to retail stores at least 80% of the time. As an International Retailer, occasional early morning, evening, and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
