  • Overview

    Purpose:  Works closely with the Sample Room Supervisor and Senior Sample Coordinator to coordinate activities around the processing of samples for photo shoots and requests of cross-functional partners.


    Core Accountabilities:

    • Organize and maintain all checked-in samples for storage in the Sample Room
    • Lead temporary staff with receiving/distribution process for all Global Salesmen Samples in partnership with Sample Supervisor
    • Maintain sample status within Sample Tracking system
    • Organize samples during seasonal sample purges and track seasonal sample needs to coordinate rotation of samples in Sample Room space
    • Point person for fulfillment of all Merchant, PLM and Visual product requests
    • Respond to sample requests from photo crews and outside vendors such as RRD
    • Track and manage photo requests in systems such as FileMaker and Virtual Ticket
    • Work collaboratively with photo team and outside contractors to reconcile missing lists for photo shoots
    • Track Pull and pack accurate merchandise for photo projects
    • Coordinate sample movement between multiple simultaneous photo shoots
    • Partner with Sr. Sample Coordinator and Merchandise Editor on Ecommerce shot list reconciliation
    • Assist internal departments with sample needs
    • Assist on studio photo shoots as needed

    Education/Experience Required:

    • Sample Room/ Merchandising experience in retail industry is a plus.
    • 1-2 years’ experience, preferably with a Specialty retailer.
    • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • PC Proficiency (including Excel, Word).
    • Ability to be productive and flexible in a fast paced environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Acute attention to detail.
    • Ability to collaborate up, down and across the organization.


    Physical Requirements:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
    • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
    • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
    • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
    • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.


    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time position. As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
